Our Story

Once upon a time, there was a guy named Joe who loved his dogs. He was an active fellow, who rather enjoyed exercising his brain with tricky riddles and ideas to make people’s lives better and more fun. One day, he was chattering away with some friendly folks at the dog park and asked "Why isit so hard to find a good vet". And, as so often happens, an idea struck. A huge, furry, slobber-mouthed idea that maybe it shouldn’t be so hard to find the right vet/groomer/sitter, or a decent place where you can enjoy your morning coffee with your pet. Joe immediately put out a telegram for his trusted colleague, Tim (aka T-Bone), to join his quest, and their close artiste pal Deb joined soon after. They have since been spotted in San Francisco and San Diego.

We started Yapsie to give pet owners and animal lovers a place to share and discover local pet-friendly businesses.

For so many people, their pets are part of the family. So it sure gets frustrating when it takes days (weeks?) of asking around before someone finally refers a good veterinarian or pet service. And what about all those times you have to choose between leaving Daisy at home yet again, or tying her up outside all by her lonesome--because where the heck do they keep the info on pet-friendly places?

Yapsie turns the dreaded “ask-around” and “pup paralysis” into something fast and simple (and even...fun?!) with genuine, unbiased business reviews from a community of pet owners who love their pets, and love yapping about stuff in their city.

Oh, and there’s more awesome stuff on the way. You’ll see.
